Though Botox is probably the number one treatment for forehead wrinkles, other options are available.
A lot attention has been focused on "wrinkle creams": Many topical lotions and creams, containing retinoids (tretinoin and adapalene), alpha hydroxy acids (glycolic and lactic acids), beta hydroxy acids (salicylic acid), antioxidants (vitamin C, coenzyme Q, and green tea), peptides, and growth factors, may help with more superficial wrinkling, according to recent research.
"Fillers" are products that are surgically injected into the skin to reduce wrinkles and furrows by increasing skin volume and smoothing out the skin's appearance. Choosing the proper filler is important — collagen or hyaluronic acid–based injectables may achieve the best results.
Facial peels may also improve wrinkling. Glycolic acid, salicylic acid, trichloroacetic acid, and phenol are just some of the peeling agents that your physician can use. Facial peels can be superficial, medium, or deep. The deeper the peel, the more effective it will be in diminishing wrinkling.
