How to cook Easter cakes for Easter
You will need
- For a few Easter cakes:
- - 1 glass of milk
- - 1 cup of sugar
- - 50 g raw yeast
- - 10 egg yolks
- - pack (200 g) of butter
- - 1 kg of flour
- - vanilla to taste
- - salt 1/2 tsp.
- For white glaze:
- - 1 tbsp. powdered sugar
- - 3 tbsp. water
Cooking Easter cakes will be on yeast dough. Lightly heat the milk and dissolve the yeast and 1 tablespoon of sugar in it. Pour 1 cup of the sifted flour. Wait for the brew to loosen up.
Spread the egg yolks with half the remaining sugar, add salt and whisk well.
Combine the egg mass with milk, then knead the dough, add flour in small portions, and add vanillin to taste.
Put the dough for Easter cake in a warm place for 2 hours, let it rise. After its volume will increase by 2 times, mix by adding sugar and softened butter. Knead until the dough for Easter is smooth and does not stick to your hands.
Grease the Easter cake molds with vegetable oil, fill them with one third of the dough. Put in a warm place for proofing.
When the dough rises, put the cakes baked in a hot oven. Check the readiness of baking with a match, if there is no raw dough on it, take out the cakes.
Allow to cool completely and garnish with icing or whipped whites on top. Sprinkle with colored sugar or ready-made sprinkles for Easter.
To make sugar icing, pour 3 tablespoons of water into 1 cup of powdered sugar, boil until sugar dissolves and the mass thickens.
