How to Make Mummy Brownies
There is nothing more satisfying than enjoying a batch of warm, chocolaty brownies. If you're looking for a spooky but easy way to make your brownies suited for Halloween, try out these mummy themed brownies. The recipe is simple to prepare and only requires just a few ingredients to create some sweet mummies.
- Makes:Approx. 25 servings
1 box chocolate brownie mix + ingredients needed on box
1 cup white chocolate melts
4-5 tablespoons candy eyeballs
Preheat the oven according to the boxed brownie instructions.
Grease non-stick cooking spray over a baking pan.
Mix the brownie mix with the required ingredients on the box.Combine them together in a large bowl until well-combined.
Pour the brownie batter into the baking pan.Scrape any excess batter with a rubber spatula.
Bake the brownies according to the time mentioned on the box.To test if the brownies have finished baking, poke a toothpick in the middle of the brownies. If the toothpick comes out dry, the brownies are ready to be removed from the oven.
Allow the brownies to cool for a few minutes until warm.It will usually take about 10-15 minutes for the brownies to reach room temperature. Once cool, slice the brownies into square-sized pieces.
- For quicker cooling, place the brownies in the freezer for about 5-7 minutes until warm.
Melt the white chocolate melts.You can choose to melt them either in the microwave or on a double boiler. Make sure you stir the chocolate occasionally to prevent it from scorching.
Pour the melted chocolate into a Ziploc bag.Snip off the edge with a pair of scissors to make a small hole for drizzling the chocolate with.
Drizzle the melted chocolate all over the brownies.Squeeze just enough over each brownie, drizzling it as a zig-zag motion to create the mummy effect.
Add two candy eyes onto each brownie.
Serve.Place the brownies on a serving plate and serve with a glass of milk. Enjoy!
