Your future Netflix show obsession is almost here – and here’s the trailer
'Good things come to those who hustle'
As if we didn’t already have reason enough to celebrate seeing in spring, it seems that we’ve got also got reason to rejoice those especially unspring-like days because they mean we can still very excusably hibernate on our sofas still, right!?
(And considering what’s coming out on Netflix this April, we might just do that.)
And, this month, Netflix will be launching 13-half hour episodes for their new series Girlboss. Social media is already obsessed and we think we might well be too.
Inspired by Sophia Amoruso, founder of fashion brand Nasty Gal and author of the best-selling millennial career guide#GirlBoss, the series will be based on her 20something years before she became ‘Fashion’s New Phenom’ according to Forbes and ‘The Cinderella of Tech’ to The New York Times.
Having startedNasty Gal in her ex-boyfriend’s flat back in 2006, armed with only a laptop, an eBay account and a love of vintage clothes, Sophia built up a commercial site which became a fashion empire in its own right with a large and loyal social media following. Although Sophia stepped down as the company’s CEO and Executive Chairwoman last year, after the company filed for bankruptcy, her presence remains strong, thanks to her book that has since become a podcast, a website and now, its very own Netflix show starring Britt Robertson,The Perks of Being a Wallflower’s Johnny Simmons and newcomers Ellie Reed and Alphonso McAuley.
